A Dental Visit

In January I took the kids in for their second dental visit. Jack cooperated with the dental assistant I was shocked. In that visit we found that Jack had a secondary tooth and a few cavities. So we scheduled for a dental visit for March and we learned that our dental insurance wasn't going to really help us out so we had to reschedule for June. In the meantime our insurance changed and we looking better for this little procedure. I got a call the day before and we were able to get Jack in early. So May 1st was his dentist visit. He couldn't eat or drink after midnight the night before and his appointment was at 11:15 am.

As we waited Jack played video games

Finally at 12:30 we were taken into the other waiting room to wait for the dentist and then the anesthesiologist

The anesthesiologist came in the gave my little man the shot in the butt, we was not a very happy camper.

Finally he calmed down and entered his subconcious land. From there the anesthesiologist came and picked him up to take him for his surgery.

Finally about 2:00 pm I was told to come back to the room and wait for him to wake up.

In the end they found that Jack has another extra tooth so instead of having four in the front he has six. So they decided not to pull the teeth as the additional one was in the bulb of his permanent teeth and the dentist was worried that he would harm the permanent teeth if he tried to remove it.

So they will wait until his two front teeth fall out then he will go back in to have his teeth removed. They filled his cavities and he got a silver cap due to the extent of the cavity on that one particular tooth - we call it his pirate tooth, he seems to like it.
