Visitors from Cambria

Dad and Christine were supposed to come into town Thanksgiving Day but with the over crowded flights they were bumped to the later flight getting in at midnight. With the four busy days ahead of us we tried to pack what we could in.

Friday Night we headed to their hotel for chatting, swimming and eating some pizza.

Saturday, with our kids being sick, I met up with the gang for lunch at Crown Burger. While we dranks our cokes, gobled down our burgers and fries, we then decided to head up to This Is The Place monument.

After This Is The Place monument we made our way to the movie theater where we shoveled popcorn while enjoying the screening of Skyfall.

Sunday we headed over to Logan & Brooke's for some football. Sorry unfortunately there are no pictures.

Monday we headed to the traditional Chinese Gourmet on 45th and State. While we ate our all you can eat chinese food a clown came by our table. He is a professional balloon maker. After the kids balloon orders were taken and made the kids used them as weapons against each other. Again I apologize for no pictures were taken, yes I am a slacker.

However it was fun to hang out with Dad & Christine, until next time.

Thanksgiving

I am so Thankful for so many things and blessings. Although a lot of people share throughout the month of November each day of what they are thankful for I figured I would list my top 10 in this blog.

1. My Life
2. My Parents
3. My Brothers - although they might drive me crazy life wouldn't be the same without them.
4. My Husband - for the friendship, support, the shoulder to cry on and the arms to pick me back up.
5. My Kids - even though it took us quite a while, our lives are so full and we love Jack and Abigail so much that it was so worth the wait.
6. Eternal Family - I am so blessed to be sealed to my husband and my kids for all time and eternity.
7. The Gospel - I know I need to be better at practicing and creating habits of reading the scriptures, praying, attending church, etc. I know that the gospel is true and I am proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
8. My Home - To have a roof over my families head and call it home.
9. Friends - all through my life I have made friends and aquantances and I am thankful for the ones who have stayed in my life, who I laugh with, and spend time with.
10. Love and Support - Our lives are always changing and I guess the top 10 thing I am thankful for is love and support from my friends and family.

Mom and I like to trade off every other year on where Thanksgiving is going to be. This year Thanksgiving was going to be held at our house. So Mom, Brooke and Logan came over to help us enjoy the festivities.

Happy Birthday!

My hubby is one year older. So for his birthday, while he was at work I was able to get most of the Thanksgiving meal ready for the next day.

Jack picked out Daddy's Birthday cake which came from ColdStone. Jeremy also got Sherlock Holmes for his present and then we headed out to Airborne Sports where we literally bounced the night away. After jumping we then headed to Winger's for Dinner. What a fun night to spend with my hubby and family.

Trains, Lights & Dinner with Logan & Brooke

After work we decided that as a family to head down to Gateway and enjoy the lighting of the tree. We decided to take Trax since Jack and Abigail LOVE trains. We got on at Winchester and headed north to Downtown. We got off at the Clark Planetarian station and headed toward the fountains of the Gateway. Kurt Bestor was going to play to get the festivities on its way. As we waited for the Tree to be lit they were handing out free hot chocolate and cookies. So we listened to the choir sing as it started to rain. It was a light rain which in the end seemed as though we got a shower. While Jeremy headed to find a working restroom I was trying to keep the kids warm and one of the security guards came up to me and gave me an umbrella. When Jeremy returned it had stopped raining and wondered where they umbrella came from. I explained what had happened and pointed to a group of security guards. As Jeremy went to return the umbrella he came back with it and said they were handing them out to people who needed it.

The kids were getting antsy we were wet and Brook and Logan were getting a table at ZTejas. I didn't know how much longer Kurt Bestor was going to play for so we headed towards the south end of Gateway to meet up with Brooke and Logan. As we entered the restaurant they were ready for our table.

After dinner we decided to head back to the north end of Gateway to check out the lights. On our way we stopped in to Build A Bear (which now I know what we will be doing for Abigail's birthday.) We were on the top part of Gateway walking and talking and enjoying the views. We made it to the end where the tree stood lit and then it changed colors.

Hanging out while we wait for the light

My Christmas Tree

My two favorite Holidays are slowly approaching, Thanksgiving and Christmas. During the Thanksgiving season there are so many things that I am Thankful for. However once Thanksgiving comes Christmas sneaks around the corner and then that's over as well. This year I decided to be a little a head of the game so that my family and I can enjoy these two precious Holiday seasons. Since I had Monday off I decided to haul up our tree from the basement. As I started putting the tree together, Jack and Abigail started asking, "What's that, Mom?" I replied, "Our Christmas Tree." The kids faces lit up. As I made sure all of the plugs were in and everything was a go, we lit the tree up.

Setting up our tree reminds of the song "My Christmas Tree"

Christmas Tree,
My Christmas Tree,
Lit up like a star;
When I see my Christmas tree,
Can loved ones be far?

Christmas Tree,
I'm certainWherever I roam ,
The glow from your branches
Will light my way home.

So today we then decided to decorate the tree and make it official. Jack and Abigail wanted to help so badly so I had them help me place the ornaments and as I was getting things sorted out they couldn't contain themselves and each of them broke an ornament. In the end the ornaments were placed, the skirt lays brightly around the tree and in the end Jack, the big boy that he is, placed the Star on top of the tree.

October 2012

What a busy crazy month. This month Jeremy was able to find and get a REAL job. He finally said "SO long, farewell" to Discover and is back to his old tricks working in the Audio Video sector.

Jack has been learning, growing, loves to play with his trains and has gotten into the habit of saying his prayers. When we sit down for dinner he and Abigail remind us to say a prayer which is really good of them. When we ask who wants to say it Jack and Abi will fight over who gets to say it so we then have to take turns. When we try to help either one of them they will interrupt us and say "No, let me."

Jack has been enjoying preschool. He has been learning letters and numbers and everytime he goes to school his teacher makes a mess, at least that is what Jack tells us. I think with playing with other kids has really brought him out of his shell which is good, however he is a wild little man.

Since Jeremy's new job we have had to have friends and family watch the kids. At the beginning Abigail would throw a huge fit, since she has been used to being with Jeremy since she was born. However as of late when I drop them off she has now decided to kick me out of the house and literally does.

Abi has become very independent, well I guess when she wants to, and any time you try and help her she will tell you, "No, Let me." She loves her barbies, her dolls and completely wants everything for christmas. During the day she is officially potty trained. Abi has turned into being a very early riser about 7 am is when her little eyes pop open and she is ready to conquer the day.
