Due to the crazy weekend with My Birthday on Saturday and then everyone's different church meeting times we decided to hold the Annual Mother's Day Dinner Friday Night. I wanted to do something pretty easy so we had Chicken and Salmon Kabobs, Sweet and Sour Pasta, Rolls, Mint Juleps (which we DELICIOUS if I do say so myself) and rice. Dessert featured a Strawberry Shortcakc Trifle which was also Yum, Yum.

Easter 2015

This year for Easter we did a few things the same but also did a few things different. For one we decided to have our Easter on Saturday due to everyone's church schedules. We planned out a beautiful dinner and enjoyed each others company. The things that were different is Mom planned a Sibling and Cousin egg roll off and then planned a in the dark Easter egg hunt.

The table. Mom always go above and beyond on the decorations of the table due to the festivities.

On the way over our poor children fell asleep and so we laid them to rest on grandma's bed.

 The kids table.

The basket of eggs the Easter Bunny will have to hide.
 Brooke and I
 Logan and Zack.

For our Easter dinner we had:
Pork Tenderloin with Whiskey Raisin Sauce
Mashed Potatoes
Green Salad
Hawaiian Rolls
and for Dessert a Berry Trifle

We were asked to eat our dinner kind of fast so that we would have some daylight for our egg roll off. So once our food was devoured we headed to an area by the condo pond for the big roll off.

Once the roll off was over we headed back to the house to clean up, let the kids play and let the Easter Bunny hide the eggs.

Once it was dark outside the kids got their baskets, grandma gave each kid a little flashlight and out the door we headed to find some eggs.

It was a really fun treat hunting for eggs in the dark. That silly bunny laid glow in the dark balloons in the trees. Once all the eggs were found we headed back to the house for dessert, the Berry Trifle.

It was a fun filled evening with the family.

Powder Mountain

On Saturday early afternoon Jeremy, the Kids and I headed up to Dad's condo, Powder Mountain. The rest of the crew headed up Friday night after work.

As we made it up there to our surprise there wasn't a whole lot of snow, but that didn't stop the skiers or the snowboarders. After watching the skiers and snowboarders we headed up to the condo where we found Brooke and the kids playing. It was a fun afternoon of watching the cousins play, Jeremy nap and Brooke and I chatting away.

 The boys!

Once the boys decided to come back from Skiing and Snowboarding we started cooking the pizza.
Overall it was a fun weekend spending time with Dad and Christine along with my brothers, Brooke and Landon's kids the only one we were missing was Cristy and Zury, next time!!

Christmas Day Part 3

After visiting the South Parents, we headed over to Mom's house for the Heinrichs Christmas Party. I was worried we were running late, but we were technically on time and the first to arrive. As soon as all of us got there we rolled up our sleeves and dove in to help.

I had to sneak in some pictures of Mom's decorations. Her home always makes it feel like Christmas with her festive decor.

After the silly pictures it was time to eat. This years feast consisted of:

Broccoli Cheese Soup
Prime Rib
Jumbo Prawn Shrimp
Green Beans
Pear, Spinach, Pomegranate Salad
Roasted Potatoes

After stuffing our faces again and cleaning up the fest, we headed down stairs for a little Naughty or Nice Plinko.

Grandma H really thought out how to play this Plinko game and her ideas turned out to be so cute and fun. She first had the grand kids start. Each of them took a turn headed up the step ladder, they each had three tries to get the plinko ball into the nice section at the bottom and she gave them 2 out of 3.

If they got naughty they received a bag of coal and a gift out of a basket. If they got nice they received a flying animal slingshot and a gift out of a basket. When Jack went he ended up getting Nice.

When it was Abigail's turn I was a little worried about the Naughty part due to the look on her face, but in the end she got Nice as well.

After the kids went one more time each, it was apparently the adults turn. It ended up that all of the adult except Jeremy was Naughty, my hubby was the only nice one in the bunch.

After playing Plinko it was time to open presents. We started with the little kids first, then to the adults and then Mom opened her presents last. It think in the end we all got what we asked for...Family, Laughter and Love! It was a great night spending it with family.

My favorite holiday of the year is Christmas and although I tend to forget the true meaning, I know deep in my heart what the true meaning of Christmas is. The birth of Christ, I am so thankful to be born into a family that believes in Christ. The things he has done for us especially sparing his life so that we can return to him again. I know that Jesus Christ loves me and wants me to go through my trials to become stronger. I know he loves me and I love him and can't wait to get back to him. That is the true meaning of CHRISTmas.
