A Fiiz Night Out

A friend of mine her sister and brother in law decided to open a soda shop called Fiiz. Now the only other  soda shop that I have ever been to is Swig so going into it I knew they would be similar.

It was opening weekend and we got invited to come on down and try it and boy oh boy they are delicious.

It has now become a weekly treat for this family and the best time to go is on Wednesday for double punch day.

I Love to See the Temple

We decided that since we didn't get reservations that after school we would head down south and cross our fingers that the arrival line wouldn't be too long.

So that is what we did and it worked out great. We were able to go through the Payson Temple Open House. The non reserved line wasn't very long nor did we have to wait like the Ogden Temple Open House.

It was a perfect day and little overcast but still really nice. Mom joined us which made it even more exciting and fun.

We arrived down there about noon and we were a little worried about the lines. However we zipped through them pretty quickly. Watched the video then got into another line to go through the temple. While we were waiting in line a little girl became lost and so we kind of took her under our wing until we were able to find a volunteer and then a few minutes later her mom came and got her.

Then it started to sprinkle, but not to crazy. Finally we made it into this beautiful building. It had dark wood trim and doors, cream interior with stain glass windows throughout and not just for the windows to look outside, there were stain glass windows on the inside to separate as a wall and even on the ceiling. It was so beautiful. Abi even mentioned to me if she could get married in this temple. There was even a grand staircase that lead up to the celestial floor.

After spending a wonderful time at the Payson Temple it was time to head home, so on our way we stopped for ice cream cones at Arctic circle.

Super Bowl 2015

This year we had a small group at our house for Super Bowl 2015. We decided to do Taco's, chips and salsa and avocado salsa, Mom brought her Chili Verde, Landon & Cristy brought drinks and chips and our Neighbors the P's brought maple scones.

At these events I tend to forget on taking any pictures. All the kids had fun playing together. The adults enjoyed watching the kind of pathetic game. Overall it was a fun, nice, evening.

Thank you to everyone for bringing something and for coming. Until next year!!

Thanksgiving

This year we had the delightful chance of having our Thanksgiving dinner at our house. For the last two years we have housed Thanksgiving dinner here, so why not one more year. I think this year I started planning WAY too early (November 1) to be exact, however this day arrived pretty quickly.

We were so Thankful to have George and Joyce (Jeremy's Parents), Jennifer (Jeremy's Sister), Brooke and Logan (My Brother and Sister In Law), My Mom and Jeremy the kids and I.

The menu consisted of Deep Fried Turkey, Garlic Mash Potatoes, Sweet Potatoes, a very delicious Relish and Meat/Cheese Tray, a delicious fancy green salad, a traditional favorite fruit salad, Rosemary Rolls, my Grandma Hone's famous Red Punch and home made Chocolate and Pumpkin Pies.

After stuffing our faces silly and cleaning up, we sat on the couches to look at the traditional Black Friday Deals in the newspaper.

I know I am probably a broken record, but the main things that I am and will always be grateful for are my Family - my own and my family that raised me and that I grew up with. My religion! I am so proud to be a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and I am so thankful to have Heavenly Father and Jesus look over me. I know that we all have our own trials and that we have to learn how to accomplish and make it through, but I know that Heavenly Father and Jesus love me and that they will always help me when I need it. I am thankful for my close friends that they have truly been there for me through thick and thin and I could have not succeeded without them.

I hope everyone out there has a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Vegas Last Day

We woke up, made breakfast, fiddled around and then about 11 headed to the pool. We spent the day  playing.

the mermaid

a sea shell and olaf, we are enjoying the last of summer!

We headed back to the rooms to get ready. We decided to BBQ Chicken and share sides which included: jello salad, a pasta salad, a green salad followed for dessert root beer floats with cupcakes.  After dinner and dessert, the kids wanted to do some night swimming so we headed to the pool one last time. A perfect ending to a great weekend. Thank you all who came and joined in the fun.

Vegas Day 3

We got up again, made breakfast and headed to the pool. Today the pool felt like a hot tub. The weather was hot, the pool was hot, it was so fun. About lunch time we headed back to the room to eat   lunch we got ready for the day.  Our family and the D family decided to head to the strip.

Our first stop was the Shark Aquarium at Mandalay Bay.

We then headed the MGM to walk across and see the Hershey Factory.

The off to the M&M Factory.

Then to get a drink at the Coke Factory.

Our last stop for tonight was the Las Vegas sign.

After getting back to our room we decided to all order pizza. It was a night of swimming, eating pizza and enjoying everyone's company.
