2 Weeks Old

Time flies when you become a parent. I thought and felt that as you get older time went by fast, but I think it goes by a lot faster when you become and parent. The last couple of weeks have been so magnificent. We have so enjoyed having Jack part of our family. Although we are still working on sleepless nights we can't complain about our little boy. I have been on maturnity leave since May 18 and although its a while away I don't go back until August 31. I know that time will sneak up on me, but I am going to enjoy every minute with baby Jack.

Logan & Brooke 5/29/09

Finally on May 29, 2009 it was time for the Bride and Groom to get married. The ceremoney started around 5:00 5:30 and it was so wonderful. Brookes parents really worked hard at making their daughter's day all that she wanted. It could not of been more beautiful. Landon and Cristy took more pictures with their camera as did Brooke and Logan's photographer. Hopefully in the near future I can get some of those shots and add them. As for right now, enjoy pictures of the ceremony.

Logan & Brooke 5/28/2009

It's official! Logan and Brooke tied the knot Friday May 29, 2009. It was so wonderful. Let's start at the Rehersal Dinner.

I never thought the day would come when my little brother would actually tie the know. First of all it took him a while to finally find Brooke (Thanks to my mom) and she couldn't be more of a fit in our family than anything.

The two love birds decided to get married at Heritage Gardens.

It is a beautiful place, in fact my cousin Shantae had her beautiful wedding there. So we arrived at Heritage Gardens at 2:00 - 2:30 to do a run through of how the ceremony was going to happen.

After that we then met at Market Street Grill in Cottonwood around 4 pm. I love this Market Street due to the fact that it gives you a spectacular view of the Wasatch Mountains and there is a creek that runs right by it.

Here are pictures of the wonderful Rehersal Dinner provided by my mom and dad.

1 Week Old

I can't believe, that our little Jack was born a week ago. Its amazing how time flies, while you are not getting any sleep and enjoying every moment, even the crying!

We can't believe how lucky we are, as well as how long it took for him to get here. We are so thankful to his birth mom, we love her and can't wait to have her in our life.
Thanks again to everyone for their love and support, I don't know what I would do personally if any of you did not exist. We love you all and appreciate everything.

Sleep Anyone?

Its amazing how time flies by. Jack was born on Saturday, we brought him home on Monday and already it is the end of the week. Jack has been such a blessing to our lives and we are so wrapped around his fingers. In fact we aren't even mad at him that he sleeps all day, undisturbed mind you, and stays up all night long. At this rate he is going to turn into my brother Logan if we aren't careful. Just kidding Logan.

Here are some pictures of Little Baby Jack.

Hanging out with Uncle Justin.

Visited by our great neighbors and friend: Jennifer, Lilly and Reese.

Sleeping while his cousins and aunt hold him:

Tyler, Jason, Tawnie and Madison
His protector: Halley, good dog
Hanging out with his other cousins, Sadie and Kylie.

Let's not forget Brynlie

Last but not least, his other Aunties: Lauren and Laurie.

If you notice, I think in every picture he is sleeping. Hello, no more sleeping through the nights. We love him non the less.

He's Home

We made it home. It was a long day. We arrived at the hospital at 8:30 am and hung out with Cassie (Jack's Birth Mom). We were waiting for her doctor to come and check her out. He finally arrived at 12:30 or so. When it was finally time to leave, we had such a hard time saying goodbye. However it won't be goodbye, just see you later. Our cute bundle of joy has just been a delight. We shall see how much sleep we will be getting.

Our New Arrival

Jack Allen South
The Stork finally arrived and delivered to us a baby boy born Saturday May 16, 2009 at 1:31pm. He weighed in at 7lbs and 3 oz and is 19 inches long.
Jeremy and I have been waiting for such a long time to finally have a child of our own. Being married for 9 years in June and trying to start our family for 7 years have been a long time of waiting.

We were chosen in January by a birth mother. I was at work and our case worker Shannon came into my branch and told me that the reason our pictures would not post to the new LDS Family Services website was because we forgot to sign a form. Reaching for a pen, Shannon put a bag and some papers on my desk. I looked at her and asked, "What is this?" She said, "Look inside te bag." So as I looked through the tissue paper there were two beanies and a can of formula. Emotions running wild I started to cry and as tears were running down my face I asked our case worker, "Have we been chosen?" She said, "Yes."

Jeremy and I decided that we wouldn't tell anyone, except for Justin (since he lives with us) about this. We decided that we would wait until we brought him home from the hospital and then tell our parents, family and friends. So for those of you who know me really well you know how hard this task was going to be for me.

We planned on doing a face to face meeting with our birth mom. In February we met with Cassi our birth mom and everything was perfect. We were asked if Jeremy was ready to be a dad and if he was ready to change diapers, his reply to that question was, "I am the oldest of six children, and my mom used cloth diapers." We were then also asked how we met and the converstaion lasted for a couple of hours from there. After Cassi left, Jeremy mentioned that he felt as if he knew Cassi and our case worker said, "She believes that as we are in the pre-exisitence that we build relationships with spirits and once we build that relationship it can sometime resurface."

On February 25, 2009 I received a call from Cassi and she was wondering if I would go with her to her ultrasound. I was so ecstatic, I made arrangements from work and headed to the hospital. We went into the room and did the ultrasound. We then found out the sex of he baby which would be a BOY. Here are the pictures of the ultrasound. It is an amazing thing to actually see a baby growing inside a pregnant woman.

It's a BOY!
Here is the bottom of his foot.
We can see you.
So her doctor and the ultrasound tech told us that her due dat would be May 5th would be the day. As May 5th came the doctor told Cassi that he would like to see her go on her own, but if she didn't have him by May 19 he would induce her.
So counting down we go. Finally as we are getting closer to May 19, on Saturday May 16 I decide to run errands and what not. I got ready for the day and needed to change the color of my toe nail polish when my phone rings. McKenna, Cassi's sisterinlaw is on the phone calling me that Cassi is in labor and at the hospital. Apparently she started feeling him move around a lot at about 4:30am and just figured to go back to bed. Then around 6:00 to 6:30, she finally called her brother Adam and told him it was time to go to the hospital. They arrived at the hospital about 7:00 - 7:30 and her water just wouldn't break. So when she was dilated to a 9 they then went in and broke her water.
He was born at 1:31pm and I arrived there about 1:35 - 1:40.

Here is Jack just after being born.
Me and Jack.
Jack and Dad. I think he is going to be a daddy's boy!
What a cute family.
Jack's first bath. He was not a happy camper.

Daddy saving him from his bath and making sure he is warm.

Daddy drying him off.
Daddy walking him down the hall to Cassi's room.

Grandma and Grandpa South with their 3rd grandson.
We are so blessed to have Jack in our life. His mother placed him for adoption because she wouldn't be able to take care of him. He has two brothers all ready and in the future will be able to meet and hang out with them.
Welcome to our family Jack, we know you will be loved unconditionally!

The Big 3 0

A few weeks ago, Jeremy threw me a suprise birthday party for the big 3 0. All my close and dear friends came. Well its funny, because in May there are 7 birthdays that are all in the same week of each other.

Lauren, May 7/ Noel, May 8/ Me, May 9/ Angie, May 12/ Aspen, Mindy, and Windy, May 13
So when other friends turn 30 and people try to plan their suprise birthday party its hard to find a day during that week when its nobody's birthday. Tawnie decided to plan Aspen's suprise birthday (although in the end Aspen knew about it) on my birthday.

Of course at first I was bumbed, especially when I heard that my all time favorite back in the day friend would be coming to Aspen's party, when I knew him first, kind of made me made, however I thought it was very sweet of him to come and see me ON my birthday.

It was a really good turn out. Nice Job Tawnie on putting it together. Maybe next time you can keep it a secret. Just kidding.

I have to say that I am really lucky of being chosen by Jeremy to be his wife and to be part of his awesome family. Although they can be crazy at times, I love them all, even the brothers.

That night Jeremy took me to a restaurant called the Paris Bistro on 15th and 15th in SugarHouse. It was amazing. http://www.theparis.net/ It has a really fun atmosphere and a very nice restaurant, I would totally recommend it for a nice occaision, because it is expensive. Anyway, thanks Babe for a great Birthday. I love you.
