Our Capitol Building is a pretty spectacular place. Knowing that it was built so many years ago and yet here it still stands. Making changes to laws, our daily lives, etc. As most you are aware a gentleman a few years back bought a painting at a flee market for $4.00. When he took it home he noticed a tear between the canvas and the painting. As he looked more into this flaw he noticed an actual type of dpcument was behind this painting. What he didnt' expect to be behind this painting was the Declaration of Independence. He found out that this document was an original typed document. It was actually one of the few documents typed before the original hand written document took place. He sold this original document for 2 million dollars and the person who bought it decided to let it tour the United States. For Friday and Saturday August 15 & 16, it was at Salt Lake City's Capitol Building on display. Jeremy and I decided to make the trek up to the capitol to see it for our selves. When we got up there a video hosted by Reese Witherspoon played to tell you a little bit about the document as well as getting people out there to vote. We then went to the main floor where there was a 3 1/2 hour wait to have a personal moment with the document. Jeremy and I decided not to wait for 3 hours so we were able to get as close as we could and got a few photo's as well as photo's of our capitol building.
As Jeremy and I were leaving the capitol building we ran into one of my mom's old friends from college, Andrea. It was really nice seeing her and getting caught up.
Also in 2002 Jeremy and I lived in a duplex one street west from the capitol. It was a really cute apartment and it was nice because we lived downtown during the Olympics. So we drove by the house and took a picture.

Larkyn- you were SO close to my house! You should have stopped by to say hi. In fact, if you took the 600 N freeway entrance to head home, I am quite sure you even drove past my house. Sad. :( Maybe next time.
