Blast from the Past

Do you ever wonder what happens to really good friends that you know you always want to hang out with and know that you will be great friends forever? That your life are separated and years go by without speaking to that person, but they are always on your mind. Well I met a great group of friends when I was in highschool and I always thought that I would stay in touch with them forever (ofcourse I though my life was heading down a different path). So you run into friends that stay in touch with those other friends and you find out that they are doing great but you want to get back in touch with those great friends.

Well my friend that I always wanted to stay in touch with was Mikey Vance. So last year Brian and Rachel child set up a night where I was able to see Mikey again. In a way I became pretty shy (for reasons I don't even know why) but then again it was almost as I still saw him and never lost those years where we never saw each other or spoke. So I was able to get his email address and his cell phone and finally one day this year I emailed him. That it would be fun to get together and catch up since aparently he was never going to email me first.

So I was pretty suprised that he emailed me back quickly. So a few months went by and I hadn't responded back to him. Finally I found a weekend that I thought would work for everyone. However the dates that I choose didn't work and so we decided to meet up Monday July 21, 2008 at California Pizza Kitchen. Brian and Rachel were able to come which made the evening much funner. So again I was kind of shy (and again I don't know why). But it was a fun evening and I mainly realized that I missed Mikey and I am glad that I know how to track him down. So we agreed that we would figure out a weekend when Jared was in town and do a huge BBQ so that everyone can see Mikey.

After the evening I pulled out my photo album and started looking through the pages, finding pictures of Mikey and I. So these are for you big guy, I am glad that you have been found.

This was taken when Mikey and I visited a friend of mine in Boise, Idaho.

This was a girls choice (I think) at Bingham High School. I asked Mikey to go and went with a girl named Sara who I met in Dental Assisting (I can't remember who her date was).

I don't know how I got this picture, but this is when the boys (Mikey, Brian & JJ Jensen) went down to Vegas.

We went to Boise again to visit a different girl named Sara and Derek Castle.

Here is Mikey and Sara's room mate I think his name was Scott, but I could be wrong.

Last but not least, I can't remember if this was the last trip up to Boize or not, but Mikey decided to get a Bull Ring. And he had to show off his other piercings.
