The begining of the month Jeremy and I decided it was time to buy the kids a little pool for the summer. Especially for the nights when we are able to make it over to grandma's and go swimming. They love the pool and we have used it a lot.
For our family trip we got the kids new flip flops, sandals and sunglasses. They LOVE the sunglasses, they are mostly in the kids hands rather than being work on their faces, but they love the glasses non the less.
Jeremy and the kids headed to the Zoo, they saw the giraff's, the bears, pretty much all of the animals, but mainly LOVED riding the train.
The saturday before our trip I got some Bees tickets from work - so we decided to take the kids to their first Baseball Game. We were able to stay through all innings, they were troopers, we then stayed after the game for the amazing fireworks - this is mentioned in a previous post.
We then headed to Vegas for our much needed vacation - all of the things we did are in a previous post. It was so much fun, we didn't want to come back, but I guess at some point you need to come back to reality.
The saturday after our trip, Jeremy and I pick mom up some little tables for the grandkids so when we have dinner over there it will be easier for them to eat at their own little table. So on sunday the kids and I decided to drive the tables over to grandma's house - where we put them together and the kids then decided to try them out.
Thursday June 28th: First Dentist Appoinment - we finally made appointments for the kids to get their teeth looked at. We recently had the kid pick out their toothbrushes a while a go - hoping that will help us get them to brush their teeth and so far it has been working. So we took them to Children's Landing in West Jordan. It is a really cute office, close to home and in the same building as our actual dentist.
Jack was first in the chair and did a really good job - meaning he actually got into the chair. That was about as far as he would go. Abigail was more hesitant about the chair, but climbed in it, she even let the dental assistant clean her four front teeth and a little glob of toothpaste found its way into her mouth and she started to stick out her tongue and say "Don't like it" the assitant put some water in her mouth then had her put her mouth around the sucker instrument which then Abigail loved doing. She was then done after that.
The dentist came by and it was Abigail to be first. He had her look into his pricess mirror, which warmed her up to let the dentist look in her mouth. Jack was next - we thought he would scream, but the Dentist was able to look into Jack's mouth without and fuss. We shall see how it goes in six months.
Friday June 29th - Jeremy and the kids headed to Wheeler Farm to milk the cows. Jack was excited to do it, however when the task actually came to doing - he didn't want any part of it, Abigail on the other hand got her turn and did it once then she was done.
Saturday June 30th - headed downtown to meet up with our friend for our family pictures. We got them taken at Memory Grove. After the picture taking we took the kids to City Creek where we had dinner at the Blue Lemon - LOVE IT! then let the kids play a little bit in the fountain.
Our kids continue to grow like weeds. They are talking more and more each day - what they like and what they want to do changes from minute to minute. Jeremy and I have been working with them on using their please and thank you's for things they would like, want and etc. Apparently it was been rubbing off because when you do something for Jack he will always say "Thank you."
Jack's favorite show is Curious George, Abigail it changes but she really likes Phineas and Ferb.
They know their letters which whenever we stop somewhere and there are letters they will say them out loud. In fact when Abigail see's a stop sign she will say "O, P, stop sign - Jeremy will then have her actually spell it, which she will then she will say it again but with just the O, P, stop sign. They are getting to know their numbers - I found an app on my phone that helps them add and subtract and drag lines from 1 to 2, 2 to 3 and so on and they both will play and play and play rotating between momma's little and big phones (the big phone is my iPad).
Abigail and Jack are currently the same height, Abigail is out weighing Jack by a little. They are both wearing 3T clothing and their feet of coarse continue to grow as well. We just had to buy Abigail new dress shoes due to the ones we got her at the beginning of the year were too small.
They both keep us busy which we love and we know they will continue to keep us busy as we go down the road of life.
