Neighborhood BBQ's

When we moved into our wonderful money pit of a house we were told that everyone always gets together in the summer time and does a neighborhood BBQ. Well the first summer we moved into the house nothing happened. Then the next year we waited to see if anything would happen and nothing. So last year Jeremy and Joe Smith decided to put a neighborhood bbq together. It was a really good success and it was so much fun we had people asking if we were going to do it again. So Jeremy pretty much planned it this time and we decided to include 6430 W neighbors to north of Black Oak Drive. Well due to it being the 24th of July weekend it wasn't a very big turn out and instead of having a mixture of salads and dessert we mainly had a dessert BBQ with one salad ours. We had decided to have everyone bring thier own meat and for the even houses to bring dessert and the odd houses to bring salads. I think we were the only odd numbered house there. Oh well it was still fun. I think we will try and plan another one before it gets too cold.
