For Mom's birthday this year we decided to change things up a bit, where we have the last few years taken her to The Garden at the Joseph Smith Memorial Building and then go look at lights. This year we decided to head downtown to City Creek and eat at the Cheesecake Factory. After arriving at 5 pm we thought we would be safe...we were wrong. Due to the size of our party they weren't able to seat us until 9 pm due to all of their other parties that were eating. So we decided to head across the street and eat at Brio. There was a little wait (mainly for them to put our tables together) but really it was not busy. We sat by this big beautiful window and we were able to watch the falling snow throughout our meal.
After our delicious dinner we decided to adventure out in the falling snow and go look at lights. Landon and Cristy and their family decided to head home - we missed walking the lights with you.
So Logan, Mom, Jeremy, Jack, Abigail and I decided to adventure out. First we strolled through City Creek Mall to keep a little warm and then made our way across the street to Temple Square.
I don't think in all of the years I have gone to look at lights have I every walked them while it was snowing. It was such a sweet and peaceful experience. Thank you to everyone who was able to come for the dinner and or the lights or both and we missed you Brooke.
Mom, hope you had a great birthday. We LOVE you!
