Sunday Drive

With Jeremy working nights and only having a couple of nights off a week we haven't really been able to do a lot of family time. So Sunday we decided that after church, after naps, we would escape our indoor home and go for a drive.
We decided to go to Herriman and hang out at the man made lake as well as check out the vegitation of what was left of the mountain side since the huge fire about a year ago. As we headed to the lake there were barriers everywhere blocking the way due to it being closed. Where should we go next. It had been a while since Jeremy had gone up Butterfield Canyon and that was where are little car decided to head. As we were driving we decided to find a area to get out and run around.

Jack ready to do some exploring

Abi trying to keep up with her balance

Jack and Dad checking out the little stream

Dad and Abi standing in the stream

Jack and Abi running around and actually getting along.

the stream flowing through the area we were hanging out in

Jeremy getting Jack's feet wet

Mom and Abi

Jack climbing up the mountain, it was pretty steep, he lost his footing and slid down

Jack, what dirty shorts you have

You can't tell he likes to climb, can you?

Abi trying to follow in her brother's footsteps

Jack wanting to do it again

Heading back to where the car is

Abi not wanting to leave either

Jack playing in the water until we need to leave

Making sure our feet are clean for the ride home.

It was a beautiful day. I am so lucky to have my family and be able to share and spend special moments likes this. Can't wait for more to come.
