Halloween

So Jeremy and I are really not the Trick or Treating kind of people, however we still hand out candy and love to look at all of the kids and see what they have decided to be for Halloween.

Jeremy and I decided that since this year and the day of Halloween since it was so nice and warm we would sit outside and hand out candy.

When Jeremy was in the Primary he would take candy to class and each kid that wanted a piece of candy would have to pass off an Article of Faith.

As we were sitting outside one of the kids that Jeremy used to teach came over to Trick or Treat. As Jeremy and I were sitting there Jeremy asked him "What do you say" He sat there for a minute, tilted his head back, thought some more, then Jeremy finally said "Trick or Treat" the kid said "Oh yeah, I thought you were wanting me to tell you an article of faith."

Later on a group of kids came and as we were sitting outside I told the kids that they could pick one piece of candy so each of the chose what they wanted. This kid sat there with his pillow sheet open waiting for a piece of candy. I asked him "Did you get a piece of candy?" He just sat there and didn't say anything, so I asked him again, he didn't say anything, finally another kid in the group turned to him and said "She is my Primary Teacher and she will know if you already took a piece of candy." The kid than ran off with the other kids.

I think Halloween is fun, and especially now that we have gotten to know a lot of the kids in our neighborhood, it makes it much funner.

Last of all a kid came to trick or treat and he was wearing clothes but on top of his clothes and around his waist was a pool waist floating device so Jeremy and I asked him, "who are you supposed to be?" he said, "Michael Phelps!"
