Jeremy and I have lived in our house for almost two years (in May 2 years). We love our house. It is big enough to grow and have a family in. We are able to finish the basement. Entertain guest when they come over. So all in all we love our house. However the crazy people to owned it before were stupid and dumb, well really just the wife. She decided to do crackling paint, but the cheap way. So she got wall paper glue, tissue paper (the stuff you wrap presents in), glued it on the wall then painted over it. Now how stupid can you be? For one, it looks like crap, we had to go through three different things to try and get the crap off, finally we were able to find Dif from Target. You spray this blue snot stuff on the wall, wait for 15 minutes and then scrape. Finally after living in this house we will have the crap scraped off the wall and will be able to move on with our kitchen. Really and truly house scraping is for the birds!
So Jeremy and I started scrapping the crap off of our Kitchen walls. It took us until Saturday morning. We then had a guy come over and texture our walls (to hide the imperfections of our scrapping). 10:00 pm Saturday night we started to paint on the primer to get it ready to paint. I was so tired that I went to bed around midnight and Jeremy decided to finish putting on the primer. The next thing I new it was 6:30 in the morning and Jeremy was climbing into bed. I got up around 9:00 while Jeremy was fast asleep and as I crossed into our bathroom I looked out and down the hall to see our Kitchen painted red.
Yes that is right, if you are trying to put two and two together you get - Jeremy stayed up all night to finished painting the primer on and then started and finished painting our kitchen red. It looks so good. We ended up having a Super Bowl party at our house with 20 or so people attending. Every one of them couldn't believe how awesome our kitchen looked.
Our house is starting to become our own.

Wow! Look at you go. I'm impressed with how many blogs you are doing. Are you guys repainting the whole kitchen/living room? What colors are you doing?
Right now we are just doing the kitchen. We painted the kitchen Red and then we will be painting the rest of the house a little darker than what is already on the walls.
