Jack & Abigail January 2013

Jack,

You continue to amaze us with your sentences that you create and trying to put the right words together. You are so smart and catch on really quickly. You continue to LOVE your trains as well as Lightning McQueen. You LOVE going to preschool and it is really fun to listen to you talk about what you learn each and every day. This January was a little rough due to you and your sister exchanging sickness'. But in the end you would try your best to be happy when you felt miserable inside. You love playing Mario Cart or XBOX. Best of all you have really enjoyed gymnastics.

Abigail,

You run me ragged and like to test me when it is convenient for you. You like being Jack's shadow, but also I think it challenges you in different ways, making you a head of a lot of the curves. You LOVE your barbies, dancing and singing. You love you exercise with me in the morning and it is really fun having that one on one time with you while Jack is at preschool. You are growing so fast that you have surpassed your bother in weight. Keep making us proud, because you do with your smartness in the alphabet, numbers and working on putting sentences together. We love listening to your strories.

A Baking Mood

I don't think I have ever been a real baker. Today is different. I had visited Mom a few days ago and she had made hersey kiss cookies. Giving me a package of hershey kisses I decided to try and bunch and see how they turned out. I used the directions on the back of the package which consisted of brownie mix, cocoa, and sugar. They were really good, however I think I like the peanut butter ones better.

As the day went on the kids started watching "The Princess and the Frog," well if any of you know Tiana is known for her beignets or benya's so being born in Louisianna I decided to make some. Not really knowing what I was doing since I am not that big of a baker. I mixed my dough and put it aside. I started getting worried because after an hour of it sitting it hadn't risen. However after a little while longer it started to rise. By the time I was ready to roll out the dough to cut and fry the dough had risen as high as the bowl it was in, there fore I had a lot of beignets to get rid of.

In the end they were DeLiCiOuS!

6 Mo Check Up

Round Two for the dentist. I was a little worried as to what this visit might bring, however Kids will always amaze.

Abigail went first and so we headed to the Xray room. She sat in the chair got the vest on and roared like a lion, but when the film headed for her mouth she didn't want anything to do with that. Next came Jack. He sat on the chair, put the superman vest on, roared like a lion and allowed the technician to take two pictures.

After the xrays we headed for the cleaning chair. Jack went first this time. He climbed into the chair, got his headsets on, and was transfixed on watching brave in the ceiling. The tech was able to floss and brush his teeth.

Next came Abigail. She climed into the chair, put on the head sets and was close of being transfixed on watching Brave. The tech was able to floss her teeth, but when the brush got to the sides of her mouth she was about done. So a partial mouth cleaning happened.

They watched Brave until the doctor came in. Abigail had no cavities and everything looked good for her. Jack, however, has a few cavities as well as an extra tooth hanging out in his gums. So sugery is on our list of things to do, to get the cavities fixed and to remove the extra tooth.

Wish us luck.
