Disneyland 2015: Day 1

Jeremy and I decided to surprise our kids to a Disneyland trip. We decided not to tell them because last time we went they knew and EVERYDAY was a count down as to when we were going to go. So for 6 months we kept our little mouths shut and surprised them to head to Disneyland.

Mom was very kind to pick us up and so we headed to breakfast first. We decided to eat at the Black Bear Diner. After our delicious breakfast we headed to the airport.

After landing in Long Beach we got our rental car and headed to Huntington Beach. The weather was perfect high 70's. The walk along the pier was beautiful.

We walked to the end where we found this 50's diner called Ruby's. It was a really cute place. We shared a couple burgers fries and a shake. Let me just tell you it was fabulous.

As we were heading back on the pier we came across a posing pelican.

This pelican actually stood there while everyone stopped to take a picture. It would even turn its head, I guess so we could get its "good side." We finally made it back to the beach with a few more hours of sun and we decided to play in the waves.

As the kids were playing in with the waves we told them to be careful and can you guess who biffed it?...You guessed it Jack. However it wasn't as bad as our first trip.

We headed back to the car to check in to our hotel. This trip we decided to stay across the street from Disneyland at the Del Sol Inn and Suites. Once we got settled we headed to find some dinner. We came across the Pizza Press and their pizza although a little expensive it was really good, at least the BBQ pizza was.

Back to the hotel we went to get some rest for our BIG day at the park.

Super Bowl 2015

This year we had a small group at our house for Super Bowl 2015. We decided to do Taco's, chips and salsa and avocado salsa, Mom brought her Chili Verde, Landon & Cristy brought drinks and chips and our Neighbors the P's brought maple scones.

At these events I tend to forget on taking any pictures. All the kids had fun playing together. The adults enjoyed watching the kind of pathetic game. Overall it was a fun, nice, evening.

Thank you to everyone for bringing something and for coming. Until next year!!

Grizzlies Hockey Game

For Martin Luther King Day the kids didn't have school, but they were having a hockey game in the afternoon at the Maverick Center. We invited Tawnie and her kids to come and we were all able to meet up and watch a Hockey Game.

We only stayed until the end of the second period and then my kids were done watching the hockey game. They had a fun time hanging out with their cousins. Thanks for coming.
