A Fall Drive

For conference weekend we decided on Saturday after work we would take a drive and enjoy the fall colors. We met up with a friend in Alpine to get some eggs. While we were chatting we realized there was an Ice Berg in the gas station. So....
a delicious Cookies and Cream shake is what we got.

What about me dad?

Beautiful Abi!
Our little twins

Mommy and Abi

Daddy and Jack

I was kind of sad to miss the red and the orange, but the yellow was really pretty this year.

Took this pic from the car with my phone - no bad, if I do say so myself.

Love this yellow one.

As much as I love Summer, Swimming and the Warmth. I am excited for fall to come which means that the holidays are right around the corner.

September 2012

Jack has been really enjoying preschool. On Tuesday and Thursday he will bring home an activity that he completed at school and he is so proud of each and everyone of them. When you ask Jack what he learned in school he will always tell you letters and numbers and Jamey made a mess (Jamey being his teacher). He has become so outgoing and is finally coming out of his shell. This month we ended up buying The Avengers and Jack has watched it all the way through more than five times. When you ask him about it he will tell you about all of the characters; Iron Man, the Hulk, Loki, Thor and Captain America. Depending on his mood he will turn into a Transformer or become Iron Man. We asked him what he would like to be for Halloween and he said "Lightning McQueen." He is such a good little boy. He has started to say his prayers by himself and when we try to help him he will say, "No let me." He is one precious Angel from God and I am so excited to see him grow. What he will be able to bring to others as well as our family is beyond me. I am so proud to have him as my son.

Abigail currently has two favorite songs, "I am a Child of God" and "Tangled Flower Gleam and glow." However as of late she has more favored to sing "I am a Child of God." Currently Abigail is taller than her older brother and is also out weighing him. She loves turning into Pink Iron Man. She loves competing with her brother which I think will be an ongoing thing. She loves her princesses and I found an app on my phone for her to dress and read with the princesses which I find her playing all the time. She has started to say her prayers as well by herself and when we try to help her she will say "No let me." I think the most precious thing this little girl does is when she sees a lady in a dress she calls them a princess. What a smile comes across my face when she gives a lady that type of precious compliment. She loves playing with her friends River, Peighton, Maddison and Vince. She has a love for her cousins and brings a smile to a room. Abi's spirit is one that will need to be reigned in, however I know she will be able to give people what they might need, love. She is precious in everyway and I am so proud to have her as my daughter.

Vegas Part 2

Since we had time left with our Timeshare, we decided to make a quick trip down to Vegas and enjoy the last of the warm weather before it got too cold. So on Friday I was able to get off work early, but we ended up still leaving late. Mom decided to hitch a ride with us and so here we headed to Sin City itself. We arrived to Tahiti Village about one o'clock in the morning. Once we got into our room the kids were wide awake and didn't want to go to sleep, but we made them anyway.

Saturday we got up, ate breakfast and headed to the pool and lazy river.
Mom and the kids decided to build a sand pool. Jack found a bucket and brought back and forth water to fill up the sand pool. After spending some time at the pool we headed to the lazy river. We forgot their puddle jumpers so we headed to the gift shop and bought them arm floaties. Abi wore them, but once we took them off she was done with them. Jack on the other hand LOVED them and swam around the pool.
About lunch time we headed back to the room, Jeremy adventured out to pick up some burgers. After lunch we tried to have the kids lay down for a nap, however that wasn't in their cards; Jeremy on the other hand fell right too sleep. So Mom, the kids and myself all headed back to the pool while Jeremy slept.

Once being done with swimming we headed back to the room where we got ready to go eat dinner. I apologize for not photos, my phone fell on the floor of the car and I forgot about it. We headed to the strip and went to eat at Hash House a GoGo. DeLiCiOuS! The serving sizes are huge and its just a fun atmosphere. We ate at Imperial Palace which was under construction, but we found it none the less and hand fun. After dinner we were so tired we headed back to the room to go to sleep.

Sunday we decided to head to the Bellagio for their Brunch. As we entered the hotel they had changed their gardens, it was amazing.
After we walked through the decorated gardens we headed to the Buffet for Brunch. The line wasn't too bad and we made it before it got way longer. After getting our booth mom and I headed to get the kids something to eat. From eggs, pancakes, hashbrowns, eggs benedict, fruit, rolls, sushi, crepes, sasage, waffles, shrimp and finally prime rib. Out of all the buffets in Vegas I would have to say the Bellagio is the best. We will have to make it a tradition when we go down there.

Once we were full from our brunch we decided to take a drive to Hoover Dam and see the bridge they built across the ravene.
First we decided to be brave and drive across the bridge. As we were in the middle of it we realized there was nothing to be brave about since you really coudn't notice you were in the middle of a ravene. So we turned around and headed back to go near the Dam. As we drove the winding way towards the dam we noticed there was a parking area to walk up to the bridge so you can walk across it. That is just what we did. It was pretty cool to walk across this bridge and read the history and information behind this built bridge.

We then headed back to Tahiti Village to continue to swim since it would be our last day. Mom stayed behind to only find out she walked over to the outlet mall that is next to our timeshare, while she was doing that we swam in the pool. Jack and Jeremy headed to the lazy river. Around 6:30 pm they got ready to view a movie in the pool "The Lorax."

While we waited for the movie to begin, Jeremy suprised me with a Strawberry Daquiri. Delicious! We sat by the pool even got in the pool while we watched the move. Once the movie was over we headed back to the room to get ready for bed.

We headed home around nine in the morning once we got everything packed. We stopped in St George for lunch and to get some wiggles out at the park.

We finally made it home about seven. Finally unpacked, ready for bed, we got our rest for the next day.

We had so much fun. Although it was a really quick trip, it was much needed and can't wait for our next family trip.
