HP7 & The First Snow Storm 2010

For Jeremy's birthday I decided to take him to see Harry Potter 7 since it was opening weekend. To prepare for this big even I decided I would re read the book so it would be fresh in my mind and I would be able to somewhat know what happens especially if they took information out that to the reader would be somewhat important. So can I say that they did a really good job I think with the movie. It followed the book pretty closely but there were quite a few changes. To not give it away for anyone reading this - you will like it. I can't wait for part 2.

So after the movie which was about 2 hours as we walked outside of the District Theaters snow had completely covered the ground, slush was everywhere and huge flakes were falling as fast as they could. We got to our car and had to wipe off all of the snow covering the windows - Jeremy had wondered when did it start snowing. We had asked mom to watch the kids while we went to the movie and to repay her we decided to get Cafe Rio and bring her back a salad. So heading to the nearest Cafe Rio we got there in 20 - 30 minutes when in regular non blizzarding days would take you 15 - 20 minutes, the place was packed and we had to wait our turn. Once we got our things back to the car we went, scrapping off the fallen snow and heading home which on a normal non blizzarding night would have taken us 10 - 20 minutes which ended up taking us 20 - 30 minutes. Snow covered the ground so badly the new lanes were created by drivers. When we got home the kids were in bed and mom was just hanging out. We ate our salads and then we decided it would be best for Jeremy to drive mom home due to the roads being the way they were.

The next morning we woke up to this...

In the back yard on top of our grill the snow mound came to 11 inches. Jeremy was ready to go play in the snow and Jack who is our outdoors little man wanted to join him. So I got him dressed so he could help his dad shovel the back patio.

Here he is not very happy with me because I put on his cute hat which he didn't like at this time, but in the end he got used to it. The little snow pants were given to us by neighbors that hada garage sale and then brought us over the remaining clothes which were in 5 HUGE garbage bags.

With his coat (another hand me down) he was ready to go. However I wish the little stinker would have put on his gloves, he kept taking them off.

As Jack headed outside to help dad with the snow, dad decided to put Jack in the snow - he didn't like it so much, can you tell?

Abigail and I were feeling a little left out so we decided we would get dressed and get warm and we would head outside and join the party. In the mean time Jeremy headed out front to snow plow our driveway and this is what he was welcomed to...

As Abi and I headed outside everyone was outside in the snow outfits playing in the snow, building snowman's, forts, slides and tubing down the road, it was awesome.

I decided to see if Jack would go in the snow for me and not really, however his sister was more curious and willing

In all of the fun and games, snow can make one person really tired

After snow blowing our drive way we got in the car and me and the kids in the CRV and Jeremy in mom's Camry to return her car to her.

When we got to grandma's house we had some cookies, helped her bring up her tree and move some furnature so she could put up her tree.

18 Months

Running, not sharing, talking, saying "No", getting to be such a big boy I can't believe he will get to start nursery on 11/21/2010!! HOORAY! I think since Jack could walk he has literally ran, and he continues to run each and every day. Jack has finally got his molars in however I know his "I" teeth are just right around the corner.

He has started to not share with his sister, push or pull her hair but at any moment when you ask him to give his sister loves he bends over and puts his head to hers which becomes the most precious thing. In fact the other night Jack was having a hard night and so Abi leaned over and put her head to his and Jack responded as "what are you doing" it was funny.

Jack has been saying a lot of words, which has been fun for us to hear him. If you say a word he will repeat it after you, although that is a good thing it can also be a bad thing especially when a grownup says "shit" you then hear "Sit" from Mr Jack. He knows his momma and dadda, grandpa, bye - which he waves his hand or puts his hand to his mouth and then waves.

He loves his cartoons especially Boo which is on the qubo channel which for anyone who has just the rabbit ears in their home channel 16-2 plays cartoons ALL DAY LONG. The funny thing is Jack and Abi LOVE the commercials especially the "Pillow Pet."

Jack is such a smart boy, he has so much love to give and is such a shy little guy. His personality grows everyday and I love to watch him.

10 Months

Cheesy, grinning, smiling, crawling, laughing, talking, chomping always on the move little girl. Abigail is growing each and every day and I can't believe that when she was born she weighed 6lbs 7 oz I think today she is ober 20lbs and still counting. She LOVES food and will eat about anything especially dog poop which accidentally got brought in by Jeremy's shoes after cleaning up after the dogs one day and it wasn't until he noticed her chomping on something of what he realized was.... Yes it was.

Her latest and greatest accomplishment is standing on her own. She has completely mastered the art of crawling not army style mind you but on all fours. She cruises around like you wouldn't believe and LOVES to explore. However just recently she has now decided to start pulling herself up onto things especially when she is in the bath. She makes me sooo nervous that when she pulls her self up she slides back down into the tub to her she thinks its fun, to me nervous.

She loves her finger snacks and is starting to really feed herself - we have started her on more solid foods and we are counting down the days until we are done with formula.

She is such a happy little girl she can just light up your day as soon as you see her due to the fact that she smiles at you. It is so fun to see her grow I can't believe how fast time has flown by.
